President of the Mess Committee (PMC)

For 2011 the PMC is Sgt Jon Barth.

From 1 January 2012 the PMC is Capt Rick Elmer.

Availability of the Mess To Its Members

The bar is open every Wednesday night from 9:00 pm to midnight. For those who wish to take advantage of use of the mess facilities other than during hours of bar operations, it is available for your use weekdays from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, although the bar will not be opened. As usual, members are responsible for the conduct, dress and deportment of all guests they bring to the mess.

Smoking Area

A reminder that the Mess, effective March 1st, 2002 is officially a non-smoking facility by order of Commander 38 Canadian Brigade Group. We are in the process of taking measures to create a smoking area within the mess, which will take time and funding as it must be a separate room ventilated to the outdoors. We are looking at turning the east end of mess where the TV is situated into the smoking room. However, until such time as this facility is created the smoking area will be outside the south-east door on the gazebo. For smoking members we apologize for the inconvenience are addressing your needs as swiftly as we can. If any one has comments, concerns, or suggestions regarding this matter please bring them to the attention of the PMC.

As always, a reminder to those who have not paid their mess dues to make arrangements with the Bar Manager.

Note: Jeans in good condition may be acceptable casual dress for very informal occasions such as TGIF's, Wednesday evenings, and casual mess use.

Wednesday Evenings

Wednesday evening is the regular parade night for The Saskatchewan Dragoons. The bar is open on Wednesday evenings starting at 9:30 p.m. Members should feel free to drop in!
