  • The Royal Canadian Armoured Corps Association (Cavalry) site has a great links section, and features a collection of cartoons by Master Corporal Robert R. Mullan.
  • The Victoria Cross Reference is an amazing compilation of information on the valiant men who have won the 1354 Victoria Crosses awarded to date
  • CDNARMY.CA The unofficial resource for all things pertaining to the Canadian Army. Features include the Canadian Army Mailing List, the War Diary, a personnel locator, military history calendar and more.
  • ArchiviaNet, maintained by the National Archives of Canada, is an on-line index to the personnel files of the more than 600,000 Canadians who served in the Canadian Expeditionary Force in World War I. To date, over 350,000 images of attestation papers have been scanned and are available on-line.
  • The Canadian Virtual War Memorial contains a registry of information about the graves and memorials of more than 116,000 Canadians and pre-Confederation Newfoundlanders who served valiantly and gave their lives for their country. The site also contains a special section titled Victoria Cross Heroes - A Cameo dedicated to the memory of those brave men who were awarded the Victoria Cross posthumously and died for their country in the First World War.
  • A web page dedicated to Sgt. Hugh Cairns, V.C., D.C.M., with a wealth of information on the Battle of Valenciennes.
  • The Centre for Military and Strategic Studies at the University of Calgary has a new web site for its International Reserves Project. This project's purpose is "to encourage the interdisciplinary study of military reserve forces from either national or international perspectives."

Wargaming Sites

  • Matrix Games makes a number of computer wargames, including the excellent, free-for-the-downloading Steel Panthers: World At War.
  • The Armor Site has downloadable full-version games, demos, upgrades, and scenarios for some of the best computer wargames available, including Steel Panthers: World At War and TacOps. It also has information on modern and WWII main battle tanks.
